Here are a couple questions we've been asked repeatedly.

Q: Is Eva Shaina, and is Berk Benson?

     S: Um, yes and no. The characters' personalities and appearances are both loosely based on ourselves.(Obviously, Eva and Shaina share the similar characteristic of being female, and Berk and Benson are both males.) We're trying to avoid "self-projection," so we'll develop the characters a bit more until they become separate entities from us.
     B: What she said.

Q: So who does what?

     S: Shaina writes and illustrates the comics, and Benson works primarily with the site. The graphics on the site are created by Shaina, and Benson integrates them into the layout. (ie. the logo was made by Shaina, but fitted into the site by Benson.) Benson also does minor touch-ups, like adding the title, date, and other little white text onto our comics.
     B: I am also the blog administrator, which isn't really that much of a job but it works.

Q: How do you make your comics?

     S: We try to brainstorm together, but Benson has a response speed of maybe .0001 word per minute, so usually Shaina just talks to herself until she gets an idea. Thus far, Shaina has been sketching them on Photoshop, inks and colors them in Photoshop and Flash, and then Benson uploads them via Dreamweaver.
     B: ...Wha? Oh. Yeah. I fiddle with the final product in Photoshop until it fits on our site, and then I put it up through Dreamweaver. When working on the site, most of the time one of my monitors is covered by Photoshop and the other, Dreamweaver. Full-screen. So the little blinky AIM box is hard to see. And then, there are times when I'm playing games...

Q: Why is your webcomic named "Not Enough BBQ"? I don't get it.

     B: If you've ever played StarCraft (Terran in particular), you might get it.
     S: I don't get it either.
